One sketch a day. That’s what the Christmas present I received from my girlfriend demands. It’s a great way to keep a visual journal, while also rekindling my enjoyment of drawing.
I’ll share my efforts on this page with daily(ish) uploads.
PS. Comment and send me suggestions for future drawings

Emphasis on the ‘doodle’ today. Collection of drawings.

Haven’t doodled in a while so here’s two for the price of one. A retro tv.

Seeing Peace play at Concorde2 tonight (see what I did there?)

Glastonbury (here’s hoping for a sunny summer!)

Early Easter bunny

Guess where I’m going this weekend?

A quick Weebl and Bob drawing before the end of the day

Pope Francis – his Argentinian holiness, famous from Bullseye on ITV (drawing lovingly copied from this site –
http://bit.ly/Ydc2Wp)

A very lazy homage to Heisenberg (from Breaking Bad).

Quizzical lobster (inspired by listening to Rock Lobster by the B52′s on loop)

Baby Bender Bending Rodríguez (body is a bit short and stumpy).

Drawn on our chalkboard at home. A country bumpkin farmer.

A sober Barney Gumble (head’s not quite right but I like the body)

13th February – unlucky for some, especially if you’re called Kenny McCormick.

Wizard Lizard (from the Toy Story short film, Small Fry).

Visual pun – Kimono dragon (instead of kimodo dragon)

Bruce the shark from Finding Nemo (slightly cross-eyed) *note to self, start drawing using a pencil

This one turned out to be a bit of a smudge-fest. A quick doodle this morning – now back to the grindstone!

There’s been a lot of rugger on tv this weekend (which is a real sport unlike American Football).

Inspired by the bad weather here’s a quick sketch of Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa (神奈川沖浪裏)

Greedy fat cat character

Experimenting with cartoon and a copy of a Calvin and Hobbs scene.

Buying a new car – thought I’d try to draw a car. Instantly regretted that decision.

Panda – copied from a cartoon I saw online

Drawn in honour of the now retired BBC test card. I liked this one until I drew the girl’s face.

Tried a geometric pattern today.

I like memes, and this is one of my favourites.

Dinner at Browns in Brighton last night (burger-tastic)

Birthday time = lots of notifications, hence the satellite.

It’s my birthday tomorrow and I have a cold.

Today I have mostly been listening to The Who.

Bleary eyes. First day back at work in 2013.

One Sketch a Day book. Because “every daily drawing is worthy of remembrance.”
